Need to increase your bank balance without working for it? Sounds like you can do by reading this list of ways to make free money.
Your parents may tell you that you will never earn any money but, unfortunately, that is not true. We've found a lot of ways to earn free money with little or no effort!
Now, that part of the 'effort' is important. Some free monetary guides include things like paid online research, which we think is a little misleading. Doing anything other than the minimum wage on your money means it's not free - it means you're working.
So, with that in mind, we only include some very simple, and very easy ways to make free money - and don't worry, you can still earn £ 100s!
content list:
- 1. Bursaries, bursaries and sponsorships.
- 2. Subscription offers.
- 3. Fee to change bank or service provider.
- 4. Free money for referral friends.
- 5. Obtain repayment of student loans.
- 6. Find out if you are guilty of a tax deduction.
- 7. Earn interest on current savings and accounts.
- 8. Earn money on foot.
- 9. Get paid to use the Internet with Swagbucks.
- 10. Use refund sites to make online purchases.
Here are some tips to help you get rid of clutter with little or no effort:
1. Bursaries, bursaries and sponsorships.
This may not be news to many of you, but we have heard from you - it is a student financial aid, after all.
While you know very well that students can get money in the form of bursaries, bursaries and grants (and that, unlike standard student loans, these do not need to be repaid), you may not know how many people qualify for this free scholarship.
Many students are inclined to think that these funds are given only to those who have higher grades, a particular sporting talent or a particular tool, or those who come from vacant backgrounds. However, while these students are often eligible for support, many others may receive one of these free fees as well.
As we explain in our guide to extraordinary bursaries, grants and bursaries, available funding for students for all sorts of reasons. Whether you are a vegetarian, a FIFA fan or a surname, you can get free cash for almost anything - so there is really no reason not to make money.
2. Subscription offers.
Before you create an account with a company that sells anything, you should always check to see if there are any new customer subscription offers.
In addition to offering the first discount, many companies will offer you a free registration fee. And while sometimes you will have to buy the right one first, if it is something you will buy anyway, the money is 100% free.
Sometimes the reward will come in the form of an Amazon voucher, but given that Amazon sells all the best, the voucher is worth the money anyway. Also, if you use our shopping hacks on Amazon, you will be guaranteed a transaction.
There are countless subscription offers out there, but among our favorites is the £ 5 Join One Poll bonus or the £ 10 turn-around fee.

3. Fee to change bank or service provider.
One of the great things we advise students to do before they start unit is to open a student bank account. But did you know that you can change bank accounts when you start a business, and that you can earn free money by doing so?
Changing bank accounts would not have been easy, and whether it was pure money or an Amazon voucher (which we repeat, is the same as regular money anyway), most banks offer £ 100 to convince you to change.
And if you do not have a bank account yet, don't worry - this offer is also available to new customers, not just those who are changing.
Just make sure you double check the terms offered by each bank, as there is a chance you may not qualify for free cash (once you have completed your first year of unit, for example). And remember that banks offer money to non-students who want to change, too!
Moreover, it is not just that banks offer tangible currency exchange rates, either. Energy companies in all of this, Bulb and Octopus Energy both promise £ 50, and broadband companies often use the offer as well.
4. Free money for referral friends.
We absolutely love the transfer codes. Depending on how little effort and money you can make, it is difficult to think of a better way to earn free money than to refer your friends and family to a few companies.
In fact there is enough integration here with our previous tip, as some of the best transfer codes are offered by banks, energy companies and broadband providers.
Often the promotions they make for new customers (such as £ 100 to join) are imitated in their referral programs, but with one important difference - you and the person you are talking about are rewarded.
The largest and most successful offers will come from banks and service providers, but many companies have transfer plans. Some will reward you in the form of credits, but others will pay you cold, hard money.
Refund sites (which we will re-identify later) and default savings apps are among the most reliable (though offers are subject to change), and you can earn up to £ 15 per subscription.
The bottom line is: check all the apps and services you usually use to see if they offer a transfer plan - don't take money right away.
5. Obtain repayment of student loans.
There is a lot you can complain about when it comes to the current state of Student Finance in the UK but, in the main, the payment of student loans makes sense. That is until the errors in the system mean that you end up paying where you should not be.
You see, to start repaying your Student Loan, two things need to happen: you must arrive in the first April after graduation, and you must earn the limit of your repayment plan.
We explain things in detail in our guide to student loan repayments but, over the past few years, it has emerged that 100,000 graduates will have to repay their loans before April after graduation.
While this is less than ideal, it means that 100,000s graduates are also eligible for a refund - a total amount of free cash equivalent to at least a few hundred quid.

6. Find out if you are guilty of a tax deduction.
Every year, thousands of people across the UK accidentally pay too much tax - and if you are one of them, you are entitled to a discount.
You may be taxed for one reason (which we describe here), but the good news is that it doesn't matter if it was your fault or not. And, best of all, and it doesn't matter if all of this happened a few months ago - you can apply for a refund of up to four years after the end of the tax year.
It is worth remembering, too, that students do not usually earn more than the annual tax rate (£ 12,570 per year), so if you consider paying taxes while earning less than this, definitely look for a tax rebate!
7. Earn interest on current savings and accounts.
We know that, if you are a student, you may not have a lot of backup money floating around. But if you are able to save some money, we would definitely recommend that you deposit it into an ISA (Personal Savings Account) or a regular savings account (or, if you have one that offers a decent interest rate, you can leave it in a bank account).
Although the 2008 financial crisis, tightening measures, Brexit and coronavirus have kept interest rates low for the past decade or so, there are still some good offers out there.
Our list of the best savings accounts has a few values that are paid above the inflation rate. This is important as, due to inflation, £ 100 today will not be more expensive per year (you will still have £ 100, you will not be able to buy more).
So, for this reason, you should always try to keep most of your spending on the highest interest rate you can earn - if not for the free money you can earn with interest, but to make sure the money keeps its value!
8. Earn money on foot.
We all know about the three main benefits of travel: they are free, they help you stay healthy and healthy, and they are not at all conducive to carbon. But what if we could tell you that there is a fourth reason for walking wherever you go?
Thanks to apps like Sweat coin, Better Points and the win walk, travel is now much better than free - it's a source of free money.
These apps track your movements throughout the day and reward your actions with real money. This 'money' can be exchanged for gift cards at many popular stores and restaurants and, most importantly, free cash too.
We won't lie, you won't be a millionaire earning free money on paid travel apps - but keep your phone with you when you're out and you'll start to see cash coming in.
9. Get paid to use the Internet with Swagbucks.
Spend your life online? Yes, if you do not re-read all your favorite Save the Student guides (we understand, some of them are timeless classics), you may be earning free money only through the internet.
Among the many ways to make money at Swagbucks is to make it your default search engine. While that means saying goodbye to Google (or, god forbid, Bing), you will earn 10-20 SB points (virtual currency spent on Swagbucks) for every 10-20 searches.
Using these statistics, we have worked out that, if you search as usual for six months, you will earn about £ 300.
But free money does not end there. The Swagbucks will also pay you to watch videos that, let’s face it, is a great thing most of us end up doing online anyway. You may find it very difficult to get free money this way as it is not as difficult as just searching, and it is not always available to all users, but it is worth going to.
Go to our guide at Swagbucks for more details, or just go ahead and sign up for Swagbucks right now.

10. Use refund sites to make online purchases.
We have mentioned it several times in this guide and, if you are a fan of making and saving money, you may already be well aware of the refunds. However, in case you are not present, here is a quick interruption.
If you buy something online, you can do it directly or go through a refund site. Whenever possible, we always recommend using a refund site.
If you shop on refunds, you will have the same shopping experience on your chosen merchant's website, but with one important difference: the refund site will track your activity and return you a percentage of the total purchase (or, in some cases, a set price).
So, most of your favorite stores are in refunds such as Top Cashback and Quidco, including Topshop, ASOS and, in some cases, Amazon (though they usually only appear at shopping times). Usually you will be looking to get a 5% or 6% rate back, but it is better than nothing!
Big money, as you might expect, from big purchases. If you buy car insurance or get a new phone, the refund sites will pay you more than £ 100 to buy it.
It is also possible to refund in supermarkets, too. As well as refund sites that donate money to online grocery stores, retail supermarket apps offer up to 100% refund on the entire range of items, from delicious treats to pet food.
Use refund sites every time you shop online and you can easily get a few hundred quid for free each year. Just read our fundraising guide to get started!
